LiDAR for sale.

FYI, AltaLIS has just introduced a new product - 30cm LiDAR elevation data. Cost is $100/township, and it looks like most of the CRP region is covered.

I know many of you are receiving elevation data through your orthophoto contracts, but this may be a viable option for others.

This would appear to be much better data than their 1 meter DEM. This would make a DEM that results from this data 0.3 meter resolution. Certainly a data set worth considering if you don't have a current elevation data set for your municipality. I would be curious to compare this data against the LiDAR that we will be acquiring in only a couple of weeks from now...

Maybe you could even talk AltaLIS into giving you some sample data for Airdrie, in exchange for a little QA/QC work?
