ArcGIS column order

Has anyone had any success changing the order in which the columns exist in a shape file?

AGG luncheon this Tuesday

Hi everyone;

I just received notice of the upcoming Alberta Geomatics Group luncheon - it will take place this coming Tuesday (December 9th) - the subject is "Underground Facilities - The Need For Accurate Records", which I thought might be timely given some recent RGIS group discussions.

If you'd like to know more about the luncheon, here is a link to the AGG's events page.

Have a great weekend - see you all Monday,
greg

Welcome!

Hi everyone;

Welcome to the CRP RGIS blog!

It has been mentioned a couple of times in technical committee meetings that it might be useful to have a forum like this, in which we can share ideas/experiences, coordinate and plan meetings, and discuss issues pertaining to the CRP Regional GIS initiative. To that end, I have created calgaryregiongis.blogspot.com.

Hopefully we all find this to be useful!

I have set the blog up so that it can only be accessed by invited "blog authors" - currently, that list is the same as the distribution list for the RGIS technical committee, so things discussed here are guaranteed the same level of confidentiality that you could expect of a message sent to the whole technical group mailing list. For truly confidential matters, I would advise you all to contact one another more directly.

If you think we should invite others to join the blog, please let me know.

I will bring the blog up for discussion at our meeting - this coming Monday (December 8th) in Cochrane.

Hope to see you all there - and again, welcome!

greg
